On the Dragon Boat Festival we went to a very cool Dinosaur Place!

It is all the way in Liao Ling Province (Northeast of Beijing).  It is 3 hours and 30 minutes high speed train ride to get to Liao Ling.

The Dinosaur Place is all the way in the mountains.  It is an hour and 30 minutes from the train station to get to the Dinosaur Place.

When you get there, there are three dinosaurs on the top of the roof.

There is this man and his name is Mr. Damien. Mr. Damien is the boss of the Dinosaur Place.  But Mr. Damien is not the boss he just owns the Dinosaur Place.  Mr. Damien is from France, just like my friend Leo.

When I got there Mr. Damien welcomed us.  We did not have lunch so when we got there we had some lunch.  It was very good.

You know you are supposed to go to the museum first, but we went the place that you dig up dinosaur bones.  It was very cool. There were three tools you must use, the first one: brush (a big paint brush), second thing: magnifying glass, third thing: scraper.  My dad and I found some very cool stuff.  Like:  my dad found this very long bone, but the bone was not there all there was, was a fasal of it.  There was like 3 foot prints from the dinosaurs, and my dad had a limit of where he could dig, because of the 3 foot prints.  Mr. Damien and Mr. Lodovic were going to put the 3 foot prints in the museum after 2 weeks. They said they would dig for my dad after they remove the 3 footprints.

After that we went to the museum and saw a lot of things. There were fish, birds, dinosaurs, plants and insects…

Then we had dinner it was dumplings.  It was very good.

Then we went to bed.  Do you know what a yurt is?  My family and I stayed in one of those. Is that cool?

My family and I had a great time!

I have learned some things that I would not learn if we have not gone there.  I learned that baby dinosaur’s feet could be so big! I never knew that there was this type of oil that could trap animals.   That is very sad. No one put it there.  The oil is was from a building that clasped.  I learned that there were bones from a long time ago.

Have you learned anything from this trip?  If so, what did you learn?
