 On December 24th, my family and Leo's family went Clay Making! It was in a hutong. At the Clay Making you can do pottery, clay making, Chinese paper cutting, and scarf dying. I made a little basket that you can put things in, a flower, and a teddy bear. Leo made one birthday cake, a bear, and a flower...... Leo's little sister made one car, a birthday cake, and a bear...... That was a lot of fun. If you want to go, let me know and we can go together. On Sunday morning, my family went to a park over by my Dad's work.
The 1st thing we did is running. The 2nd thing we did is jumping jacks. And the 3rd thing is walking. There is this kid in an orphanage that needs surgery and it is 10,000 RMB for surgery so we are doing this walkathon to raise money. So I told my Mom and Dad that I will give them each 2 RMB for every circle they walk. My Mom is giving 500 RMB to both me and my dad. And my Dad said he would give 1,000 to both me and my mom. I raised 1,500 RMB. My Mom raised 1,010 RMB. My Dad raised 2,510 RMB. I hope the boy can get his surgery soon and be healthy. On Saturday, my family went to learn how to make Dim Sum. The location is in the hutong (the traditional Chinese streets in Beijing) and the place's name is "Hutong." It was very hard to find. It is good that our driver's car is very small because the streets were very narrow.
The teacher is a young lady and she speaks good English. The students came from France, Singapore and us from the USA. The dishes are vegetable spring roll, shrimp dumpling and lotus leaf pack.
